“A” Frame self build in rural area ?

I’m buying a plot, which had permission (expired) for a single dwelling. This is in rural South Wales and I wondered how planners are likely to react to me applying to self build an “A” Frame home on it ? Any advice appreciated.

Hi Internuk,

You would need to re-apply for planning permission to build you home.
Whilst the previously approved application plays in your favour, your proposal would be assessed against your Local Authority’s current planning policies.

At Drawing and Planning we deliver the best advice on the feasibility of your project and pride ourselves of obtaining planning permission for the most difficult projects.
If you would like further advice on your project, please do not hesitate to visit our website (www.drawingandplanning.com) or contact our team of planning consultants. We would be happy to assist you with any queries that you may have.
